About us
outhouse is the resource and
community centre for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered
communities in Dublin. outhouse has come about through the efforts of people who have been
working since 1994 to provide a focal point for our communities.
outhouse services and activities include:
- Cafe
- Meeting Rooms
- Information and referral services
- Library
- Internet access
- Support to community groups & organisations
outhouse is also home to a number of other projects provided by other organisations:
The centre is open 7 days a week. About 1,000 people
per week use outhouse in one way or another.
outhouse's annual budget is over €200,000 per year. Our main income
sources are:
- funding from the Health Services Executive
- donations
- rental of office space and meeting rooms
- fundraising events
- income from the cafe
We also receive grants towards building and equipment.
