1994:Community meetings held in Dublin to discuss the need for a community centre
1995:The name "outhouse" adopted
- First event "Priscilla" trip to Drogheda
-"getOUT" monthly fundraising club starts and runs for two and a half years
1996:Website launched
-outhouse take temporary space at Ormond Multimedia Centre with Dublin Pride
-Eastern Health Board approve grant of IR£19,000 per annum for 3 years
-outhouse Ltd. registered as a company
1997:First part-time worker appointed (administrator)
-A lease is obtained on premises at 6 South William Street, Dublin 2. GCN /NLGF move in
-Centre Co-ordinator appointed
-outhouse opens to public and hosts Dublin Pride 1997
-cafe, social area and information centre established
1998:Gerry Ryan Show broadcast from the Centre
-Fundraising lotto "Outto" launched
1999:Eastern Health Board locates the Gay Men's Health Project in outhouse
-Library opens
-President McAleese visits outhouse
-Grant of IR£35,000.00 from Eastern Health Board
-FAS feasibility project for Enterprise worker
2000:East Coast Area Health Board increases funding to IR£98,665.00 to enable an Outreach Service and Information Service
2001: FAS funds part-time Enterprise worker
-outhouse receives a substantial donation from an individual to place a deposit on 105 Capel Street, Dublin 1 and moves in.
-105 Capel Street is held in trust on behalf of the LGBT communities
-Grant of IR£144,000 (€182,800) pa secured from East Coast Area Health Board
2002:Patron's Scheme Launched
-Coffee bar opens
