Mental Health
Mental and emotional health are areas where there are not very many services solely
directed to the LGBT community. The website www.lgbt.ie has a listing of some national
organisations, like the Samaritans and others who deal with the general public, including
LGBT people in issues such as depression, suicide, etc. However, within the scope
of many organisations work, including Outhouse’s, issues of mental and emotional
health pervade, and particular programmes addressing mental health exist.
