Peer Support & Social Groups

Outhouse organises and/or hosts a number of Peer Support Groups that meet regularly at the Centre. They aim to provide a safe, supportive and confidential space where our service users can explore their issues and gain confidence in the knowledge that they are in a safe space with like-minded others

LGBTQ+ Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)

Meets every Monday 7pm -8pm, Friday 7pm - 8pm and Sunday 6:30pm -7:30pm.
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. The LGBTQ+ AA Group Meetings are open to anyone who may have a desire to stop drinking. Also, see www.lgbtaaireland.com

Narcotics Anonymous (NA)

Meets every  Tuesday at 7:30pm to 9pm.
NA is a non-profit fellowship of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. The group consists of recovering addicts who meet regularly to help each other stay clean. Please note NA meetings are not exclusively LGBT. https://www.na-ireland.org/

GOLD (LGBTQ+ folk 55+)

Meets Wednesday afternoons at 3pm weekly.
Gold is a Peer Support Social Group for LGBTQ+ folk who are 55+. The group meets in the Outhouse café for tea, cake, and chats.

Trans and Non-binary Social

Meets every second Wednesday at 7-9pm.

Bi+ Monthly: Café Social for Bi+ Folk

Meets every two weeks on Thursday from 6pm to 8pm
Join for a safe and inclusive social meet-up for bisexual and pansexual individuals in the Outhouse Café. Connect with like-minded people, share your experiences, and make new friends. For more details on exact dates, please view the weekly event schedule.

Sapphic Social

Meets every Friday from  6:30pm to 8:30pm
Coffee and chats for LBTQ+ Women and non-binary folk.
"Sapphic" is an identity term or label generally used to describe women's attraction to other women. It's an umbrella term for lesbians, bisexual/ pansexual women, and queer women. It's almost used as a synonym for "WLW" or "women who love women". However, the term "sapphic" is actually much more expansive than this.

Men's Night

Meets Fridays from 7 to 9 pm.
If you are a gay man of any age who wants to meet new people and socialise over a cup of tea or coffee, this is the perfect group for you. Meetings are run at Outhouse Cafe, and you don't need to subscribe.

Gay Guys Cafe

Meets every Saturday from 2pm - 4pm.
Gay Guys Café is a Meetup Group for young and youngish (18-35) gay guys to meet, chat and get to know each in an informal setting. It is for those younger gay guys who would like a quieter alternative to the scene for meeting other guys around their age and forming new friendships.

Safe Space - Peer Support for LGBTQ+ Refugees, Asylum Seekers, and Migrants>

Meets 1st Saturdayof the month from 1 to 4 pm
The emphasis is on peer support, safety, self-determination, self-organisation, self-expression and cohesiveness and these are offered to participants as the overarching themes for Safe Space.
